A Culinary Journey with Chef Antonio Romero and Garcia de la Cruz Olive Oil!

During our unforgettable trip to Spain, we had the pleasure of experiencing a magnificent feast curated by the talented Chef Antonio Romero at the historic Castillo de Alcalá la Real. This stunning castle provided a breathtaking backdrop for an extraordinary culinary adventure, enhanced by the exquisite olive oil from Garcia de la Cruz.

Chef Antonio, renowned for his innovative approach to traditional Spanish cuisine, crafted a menu that showcased the versatility and quality of Garcia de la Cruz’s Extra Virgin Olive Oil. The oil, celebrated for its rich flavor and organic characteristics, became the star ingredient in each carefully prepared dish.

Our culinary journey began with a refreshing Salmorejo, a thick tomato soup served elegantly in shot glasses, infused with a delightful hint of basil aroma. This was followed by perfectly grilled shrimp skewers, drizzled with the Early Harvest olive oil, which added a distinct depth and richness to the dish. The vibrant beet hummus paired with crispy corn nachos was another highlight, showcasing the smooth and fruity notes of the Arbequina oil.

As the feast continued, we indulged in Iberian ham croquettes with an alluring black truffle aroma, and boletus croquettes infused with white truffle oil—both were crispy on the outside and bursting with flavor on the inside. Each bite was a testament to Chef Antonio’s skill and passion for authentic Spanish flavors.

A standout dish was the saffron-marinated tenderloin medallion, perfectly seared and complemented by the fragrant qualities of Garcia de la Cruz’s olive oil. The tenderloin was succulent and packed with flavor, leaving us yearning for just one more bite. To finish this magnificent feast, we savored a unique fried flower drizzled with olive oil and accompanied by a saffron custard cream that was simply divine.

Throughout the meal, we enjoyed a selection of mineral water, refreshing beers, and wines from the D.O. La Mancha region, which paired beautifully with each course. The experience was completed with rich coffee and herbal teas, leaving us in a state of bliss.

Dining at Castillo de Alcalá la Real, with Chef Antonio Romero at the helm, was not just a meal; it was a celebration of flavors, culture, and the extraordinary qualities of Garcia de la Cruz’s olive oil. If you ever have the chance to experience his culinary creations, don’t miss the opportunity to indulge in a taste of Spain that you will never forget!
