Thank you Netflix and Director David E. Talbert and Producer Lyn Sisson-Talbert and

Netflix’s Jingle Jangle is pure jubilation, it’s a festive fantasy about a kid and her inventor granddad and the energy is infectious!
The reason why Jingle Jangle is important, because representation matters. Yes, the movie is beautifully written, the cast is outstanding and the Christmas season is upon us, we need a festive movie, but having an ethnically diverse cast is priceless. This is truly a Christmas gift that will give for years to come, children will watch Jingle Jangle and know that they can reach for the stars, to dream the impossible because it is possible!
Our story by David E. Talbert Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey begins with Phylicia Rashad narrating to her grandkids to unveil a “new Christmas story.”
This joyous musical starts with Forest Whitaker playing Journey’s inventor grandfather Jeronicus Jangle. As a young man, he owned world-famous toyshop Jangles and Things, maker of steampunk-inspired gadgets. But Jeronicus lost everything when dastardly apprentice Gustafson (Keegan-Michael Key) stole his book of toy blueprints. Thirty years later, he is a broken man, filled with disappointing and hopeless.
Jingle Jangle is filled with new seasonal songs that will fill your heart with joy, think of THE GREATEST SHOWMAN, how you wanted to get up sing and dance, this is exactly how you’ll feel. Filled with cheer and love, Jingle Jangle is the movie we needed that we didn’t know we had to have.
Jingle Jangle immediately shows the Jingle Jangle world where everyone is brought together by the love of invention, admiration for intelligence and hard work. Why I’m pointing this out, because you can be unapologetically brilliant, courageously be who you are and becoming the person whom you are meant to be. Strength of mind, strength of will and strength of choosing the right path. I can’t recommend Jingle Jangle enough, I hope they do come out with a sing-a-long CD, it would be spectacular!
Make sure to catch my interviews below, I asked about the Jingle Jangle magic and more!
